Terms of Use

The deal

Halftone (made by Durdanto.Studio) is a reader for comics you already own or host. By using the app you agree to these terms. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to App Store downloads.

Your content, your responsibility

• The app supplies no content. Everything it displays comes from files you import or servers and accounts you connect.
• You are responsible for having the right to read the content you load into it. Don't use the app to infringe anyone's copyright.
• Connecting a server or cloud account means you're authorized to use that server or account.

Purchases

• The free tier is free forever; paid unlocks are one-time purchases (per major version) or optional subscriptions, all processed by Apple.
• Refunds go through Apple — we can't issue them directly, though you're welcome to email us first so we can try to fix what's wrong.
• Paid features unlock what the app can connect to. They never hold your data hostage: if a purchase lapses, nothing you imported or downloaded is deleted.

Subscriptions

• Halftone Premium is available as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription (prices are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency) or as a one-time lifetime unlock.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; the renewal is charged within 24 hours before the period ends.
• Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account's subscription settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device, or the Manage Subscription button inside the app). Canceling stops future renewals; the time you already paid for keeps running until it expires.
• If you start a free trial, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription or the lifetime unlock.

What we promise (and don't)

• We work to keep the app reliable, but it's provided "as is" — no warranty that it's error-free or fits a particular purpose.
• To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid for the app in the last twelve months.
• Your library lives on your device and your servers. Back it up (the app has a built-in backup feature — use it).

Fair play

• Don't try to break, reverse-engineer, or resell the app's paid unlocks.

Changes

If these terms change materially, the date above changes and the app's release notes will mention it. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
